Danny Zanzoul was the contractor chosen to do a conversion of an 50 year old brick and tiled house that had not been touched for many years and was in a state of disrepair. It is on a difficult sloping site. The contract called for the erection of a double storey steel and glass structure to the rear of the property which housed a new kitchen, dining and living area on the ground floor and a master bedroom, en-suite and study to the upper floor. Outside this structure a deck with a large pool and and garden was also established. The old house was totally rebuilt internally for four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a new attic space. The roof tiling was also replaced and new suspended timber flooring laid. Externally the existing face brickwork had to be repointed and all the existing timber windows reglazed and refurbished. It was not an easy undertaking but Danny was amazing to work with, he was unflappable as various changes to the original design had to be undertaken, the structural steel section was very complicated and he with the architects and structural engineers resolved all design issues quickly and efficiently. The renovation was within a conservation zone and part of the facade was also under heritage controls. Some of the neighbours were not happy with the proposed design and he often was at the front line of their complaints but he was always courteous and respectful to them. He and his team were a joy to work with - the work was also completed on time and within the budget.

We did an architecturally challenging rebuild. Danny was great on the job. He managed things very well and his greatest asset is his ability to deal with people. He's great with the different trades , architect and client. I would recommend him to anyone.

Changing family circumstances meant a need to accommodate more family members in our modest 4 bedroom home. The obvious answer was a garage conversion but we wanted the job to look like anything but a garage conversion (at least from the inside). Enter Danny Zanzoul and his team from UNIQ Building Group with the solution. The challenge was to convert an existing 30 year old garage space into a living area for a small family.

From the first day of construction we were amazed by the courtesy and professionalism of this team. They planned the entire construction around a relatively short timeframe and carried out the work in a manner that had minimal impact on my family.

Danny was always willing to discuss the project and, whenever necessary, put forward ideas for a more- pleasing end result.

UNIQ worked to our limited financial budget, always keeping us informed of the progress. My family felt at ease with having Danny’s team in our house which is very important from a security perspective.

Hello All,

We got recommended to Danny last year for a major renovation that we had to undertake to a residential warehouse conversion. Our warehouse had a sloping roof, cracked walls that you could see through, kitchen and bathrooms that were shot, no ceilings and 1950's lights. Even the windows, lentils, front door and the massive warehouse sliding doors had to go. The thing is too, this place was my dads rental property who was 82 yo at the time, so you can imagine the stress he would have been going through in embarking on a major renovation at that age. came Danny... What a man! I honestly cannot recommend Danny highly enough. He is not only a gentleman, he is not only honest, he is a freak! There is nothing he doesn't know about building, there is no problem that he cannot find a solution to. The quality, time and the manner in which he did the renovation is astounding. You will not recognise our place, it went from something that you were almost tempted to bowl over into literally an amazing brand new place. We are in awe of what Danny did, literally.

Just when you thought it couldn't get better, he brought the project in under budget too.

I have been in the real estate industry for 25 years and have seen plenty, never seen anything this good.
